Hong Kong Jockey Club
In 2009 Hong Kong golf course became the first golf course in the world to use solar-cell technology by SolarDrive to power its entire golf car fleet.
To learn about the first year experiences by Cameron Halliday, General Manager at Hong Kong Jockey Club, please read the evaluation report here.
It was a ground-breaking initiative in environmental management and the initiative made The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course the first golf course in the world, to have adopted SolarDrive’s highly efficient solar technology for their entire fleet of 205 Club Car golf carts and the largest fleet in the world to be powered by such technology.
The initiative came only a few months after the Hong Kong course received official recognition for its environmental program as winners of the prestigious ‘Asian Golf Course Environment Award.’
